A global CPU to connect your business with the 4.0 universe

Among our highlights at the fair will be the NX3008, a high-performance CPU from the Nexto Series ofprogrammable controllers. Designed for robust machine and process applications, it offers unmatched performance, connectivity, and flexibility for the wide-ranging demands of Industry 4.0. With advanced security and virtualization features, it’s an all-in-one solution for systems across various sectors, regardless of complexity.

Powered by a 64-bit ARM single-core processor running at 1 GHz, the CPU handles over 1,000 PID loops in under 2 milliseconds, making it 10 times faster than previous models. To ensure reliable data retention, the unit includes a 1 MB power storage system.

The CPU is equipped with three gigabit Ethernet ports, two of which support the PROFINET Controller protocol, enabling operation in a redundant MRP ring network. Additional connections include an RS-485 port, CAN port, USB 2.0, and a MicroSD slot. The device also supports multiple protocols—EtherNet/IP, OPC DA/UA, MQTT, EtherCAT Master, MODBUS TCP/RTU, PROFIBUS-DP, CANopen, J-1939, and IEC 60870-5-104.

On the software side, enhanced features for cybersecurity, connectivity, and virtualization make this CPU stand out. One of these is the embedded VPN, providing a private, secure connection directly to the CPU. For added security, the CPU also includes firewall functionality and FTP connectivity, enabling the unit to exchange data with an FTP server—making remote access to logged data easy.

The CPU also includes an embedded Docker platform, enabling the virtualization of Unix-based software for even greater versatility and operational speed through direct data processing within the CPU.
