Altus will be attending in OTC Houston 2021
With the advance of vaccination campaigns and a drop in the number of cases of COVID-19, the doors of the world begin to open again for international fairs and congresses. One of the first events in which we will be attending is the OTC Houston 2021. For more than 50 years the trade fair, that takes place between August 16th and 19th, brings together the main players and suppliers of the O&G global market.
As one of the principle developers of technology for exploration and production in Brazil, Altus could not fail to participate in this moment. Currently, our products are responsible for 35% of all Brazilian O&G production; 1/3 of the FPSOs and one in every four E&P units operating in the country use Altus control and automation technology. These are impressive numbers for a company operating in one of the 10 largest oil producers in the world.
Security and high availability for E&P processes
Visitors passing through Altus` space at the fair will be able to check out our most advanced control and automation solutions for onshore and offshore processes.
This year, the highlights will be the novelties projected for the PLCs from Nexto Series, products used in the main FPSOs operating in Brazil, such as the Petrobras’ replicating units installed in the Pre-salt fields. With high processing speed, advanced real-time diagnostics and support for network redundancy, Nexto programmable controllers deliver security and high availability for critical and highly complex processes, such as those found in top-side, hull and CSS systems on offshore applications.
In addition to the robust Nexto Series products, we will also be presenting to the audience the Nexto Xpress IoT ready PLC. With different embedded communication interfaces and supporting a wide variety of communication protocols, Altus compact controllers can be applied as IoT gateways for small applications in the onshore market. Among its many 4.0 functionalities, Xpress products can, for example, collect production data from the field application through a MODBUS TCP network and send it via OPC UA or MQTT to a supervisory system hosted in the cloud.
Come to visit us at OTC Houston 2021 and discover how the technology embedded in our solutions can increase the performance, security and availability of your units. Our team will be waiting for you at booth 29 of the Brazil Pavilion, in the NRG Park, Houston, Texas.
The event will also feature a virtual version for those who are unable to attend the event locally. Go to the official OTC Houston 2021 registration page and check how to attend the fair online.
